Mental Health (Awareness)

Did you know May1-May 31, 2023 is Mental Health Awareness month this year.  What an opportunity for us to come together in our black churches, our neighborhoods, our homes, our communities and discuss  this disease . It is hard to know when your mental health is slipping if you aren’t in touch with yourself or paying attention to your usual thoughts, feelings and behavior . When you feel yourself  losing interest, isolated, trouble focusing, short tempered, it is time to seek help.  That is why it is so important to have a place where you feel safe, loved, accepted, not a place of condemnation or criticism to share this  with competent leaders. The church should be one of those places working  with mental health professionals.

Be Aware!
